Hillton signs producer Gilles Germann and moves to Binz
Gilles Germann has been appointed producer at the Zurich-based film production company Hillton, effective immediately. The 30-year-old holds a master’s degree in Creative Producing from the ZHDK and has produced various feature films and documentaries. He previously worked at tellfilm for two years. Hillton also recently moved into new headquarters in Zurich’s Binz creative and digital district.

With Gilles Germann, Hillton has brought an experienced producer on board. Germann's best-known co-produced works include the award-winning films "Blue my Mind" and "Facing Mecca". Germann accompanied "Blue my Mind" - which won the Swiss Film Award for Best Feature Film - for two years, from the closing of financing to festival and cinema exploitation. As production manager for "Facing Mecca", he coordinated pre-production and shooting. "Facing Mecca" was awarded the Swiss Film Prize for Best Short Film, won a student Oscar and was awarded the "Best of the Festival Award" at the Palm Springs International Shortfest.
In his new role, Germann is responsible for all of Hillton's productions. "With Gilles, we have been able to sign up one of the most talented young producers in Switzerland. With his experience, he is the ideal person to realize our vision of an unconventional and contemporary video production," says Tobias Bonfanti, Partner at Hillton, about the new addition.
New headquarters in Binz
Hillton's growth is also accompanied by a change of location: the production company recently moved its headquarters from Zurich's Badenerstrasse to Binz. The industrial district at the foot of the Uetliberg is undergoing a transformation and is very popular with start-ups and creative professionals. With plenty of space for freelancers and an in-house grading suite, the new location offers ideal conditions for continuing the success story.
