Generation change: Yannick Schmuki becomes owner of Hastings

There’s a breath of fresh air at the Zurich recording studio Hastings: Yannick Schmuki, the new owner, is taking over from the previous management team of Daniel Wüthrich and Frances Belser. The 42-year-old Zurich native joined Hastings eight years ago as studio manager.

Yannick Schmuki succeeds founder and managing director Daniel Wüthrich, who will remain with the studio as a senior consultant, according to a Hastings statement. Schmuki is a trained actor and holds a master's degree in cultural management.

Hastings works with professional voice actors who specialize in every language and dialect imaginable. The recording studio also maintains long-standing personal contacts with the theater and film scene.

Under the new management, Hastings' customers can expect the usual high quality, creativity and professionalism in the field of audio art in the future, the statement continues. Whether voice recording, sound design, music production or sound mixing - "Hastings offers a full service from consulting to audio post-production," says the new managing director Schmuki.
