Doodle strengthens board of directors with American SaaS software expert
American software expert Amit Shah has joined the board of directors of the online scheduling service Doodle and will support the company in its global expansion strategy.

Among other things, he founded Jirafe, a data analysis tool for online retailers, which was acquired by SAP. Himself, Amit Shah worked for SAP as Chief Revenue Officer for the Microservices division. He is also on the board of directors of the software company Magnolia.
"Amit Shah has a valuable international network in the technology sector, particularly in the USA, a key market for Doodle's growth strategy. He is also an expert in software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions and online payment models. We see very great potential at Doodle in expanding its professional payment offerings. Amit Shah ideally complements us on this path with his know-how and network," explains Samuel Hügli, Member of the Management Board and Head of Technology & Investments at Tamedia, in a statement.
Amit Shah: "Doodle impresses me with a strong product for daily scheduling and also with newer services like the artificial intelligence-powered chatbot Meekan, which is already being used by numerous teams at the collaboration tool Slack. I look forward to supporting the talented team as they continue to grow."
Doodle was fully acquired by Tamedia in 2014. After a phase of continuous growth in advertising revenues, Tamedia initiated the transformation to a subscription model at the beginning of 2017, invested heavily in the product and steadily expanded the team. Today, Doodle has more than 50 employees in Zurich, Berlin, Tel Aviv and Belgrade. The online appointment planner is used by over 28 million people worldwide every month and is constantly being expanded with new business functions.
The Board of Directors of Doodle consists of Samuel Hügli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Doodle and member of the Executive Board of Tamedia, Lorenz Lüchinger, Head of Investment Management Ventures of Tamedia, and Olivier Rihs, former CEO of Scout24 Switzerland.
