Armin Bregy becomes publishing director of Mengis Medien
Armin Bregy, deputy editor-in-chief of Canal9/Kanal9 since 2014, will become editorial director of Mengis Medien. He will assume his new position on December 1, 2018, as the Valais-based media company Mengis announced on Thursday.
In this role, Bregy will be responsible for all of the company's journalistic products. This includes the newspaper titles Valais Messenger and Rhone newspaperthe local radio station rro and the online portals Rro.ch and 1815.ch. With the appointment of Armin Bregy, the Mengis Media Group aims to further strengthen its journalistic focus. "Our aim is to create a multimedia media company with strong regional roots," says owner and publisher Fredy Bayard. Journalism remains the core business. This is why the Mengis Group will continue to invest in journalistic quality in the future.
Armin Bregy has been working for the regional television station Canal9/Kanal9 since October 2012. He has been head of the Upper Valais editorial team since 2014. Before that, he worked for the Valaisan messenger and the Rhone newspaper active. (SDA)
