After four years as editor-in-chief of Radio 1, Dave Burkhart is moving to Swiss radio and television SRF. "Dave Burkhart has done an outstanding job since his appointment. I would like to thank him for that. I wish him every success in his new position", Roger Schawinski, Head of Radio 1, was quoted as saying in a press release.

Dave Burkhart will be succeeded by his former deputy Adrian Sutter. Sutter has been with Radio 1 since June 2015 and was also Head of Sport. "Adrian Sutter knows our store and our commitment to news and background information inside out. I am convinced that he will also do a great job in his new role," continued Schawinski.
