The Zurich Summit will take place from September 25 to 27, 2026, at The Dolder Grand as part of the 22nd edition of the Zurich Film Festival. According to the organizers, this boutique conference has established itself as the «Davos of the film industry,» where Hollywood meets Europe. Every year, international industry representatives gather to discuss the state of the business, while the event promotes networking and collaboration between the EMEA and U.S. markets.

Game Changer Award for Glen Basner

This year’s Zurich Summit will conclude with the Game Changer Award Conversation, featuring award winner Glen Basner, founder and CEO of FilmNation Entertainment, in conversation with director Edward Berger. Berger collaborated with Basner on the Academy Award®-nominated film «Conclave,» which was screened at the Zurich Film Festival in 2024 in the presence of Berger and Ralph Fiennes. The laudatory speech will be delivered by CAA Media Finance Co-Head Roeg Sutherland.

Edward Berger says: «It is a great honor to have been asked to moderate this year’s Game Changer Award discussion at the Zurich Summit—and with Glen Basner, the award has a more than deserving recipient. I had the great pleasure of meeting Glen during my very first job in the film industry—more than thirty years ago now. As a Swiss national, I always enjoy returning home, but especially to the ZFF.»

Roeg Sutherland adds: «The Summit is such a superbly curated gathering and plays a central role in the global film financing market. Glen possesses the rare ability to combine first-rate creative intuition with astute strategic thinking, all underpinned by a genuine love of cinema.»
