St.Gallen Bodensee Tourismus: Star sponsorships at Christmas time
The Christmas season in St. Gallen is under a lucky star: Every year during Advent, the city of St. Gallen shines with the magical glow of about 700 stars. Companies can also sponsor a star.
Since 2010, the "Allerstern" has been shining above the squares and alleyways of St.Gallen's old town as the basic element of the St.Gallen Christmas lights, creating an atmospheric setting for the city of Gallus. Each of the almost 700 oversized stars has fourteen rays, each symbolizing one of the city's districts. In its very first year, the "Allerstern" was the most popular Christmas star in the city, according to a survey by View was voted the most beautiful Christmas lighting in Switzerland.
With a star sponsorship, both private individuals and companies can express their solidarity with the city and at the same time support the opening ceremony of Sternenstadt and other events. With the takeover of the Star City office, St.Gallen-Lake Constance Tourism is launching a competition for the first time: from November 30 to December 21, 2023, a scratch card will be available on the website to be scratched off. Anyone who successfully scratches off the St.Gallen starry sky has the chance to win a voucher for a hot drink at the St.Gallen Christmas market in the NAZ mulled wine hut on Bärenplatz. The city tour "Midwinter - customs in the cold season" promises winter romance.
