Shift Automotive: trade fair competition for content
What are Ford, Daimler, and AXA doing at the IFA in Berlin? They are among the participants at the Shift Automotive Conference, which will take place on September 10 and 11 in Berlin. They will be joined by numerous keynote speakers.

The impetus came from the electronics trade show CES, which competed with classic car shows with trend themes on vehicle mobility and major car brands as exhibitors. The IAA in Frankfurt expanded its spectrum of automobiles with the Me-convention.com on the topic of lifestyle. And the electronics trade show IFA in Berlin also expanded its automotive mobility conference with the programmatic name Shift Automotive.
The title is ambiguous. The press release says the conference is not simply about concept cars. Shift Automotive is a "festival on the future of mobility". IFA Executive Director Jens Heithecker to Expodata: "We don't want automotive topics (at IFA) to overshadow consumer electronics topics. Smart mobility is closely related to digital solutions. That's why we developed the 'Shift Automotive' with the Geneva Motor Show" (Werbewoche.ch reported).
The latest trends in mobility in transport can now no longer be seen solely at the big motor shows such as the IAA in Frankfurt or the International Motor Show in Geneva. Now the trade fair competition is also taking place at the level of content that concerns us all.
The Shift Automotive Conference is a joint venture of IFA and the Geneva International Motor Show.
