Open Innovation Platform: Graubünden Holidays opens "ideas channel"
Innovative ideas are regularly in demand for the further development of tourism in Graubünden. Proposals can now be freely submitted on the innolab.graubuenden.ch platform.
Idea management is an important part of any innovation process. The tourism marketing organization Graubünden Ferien has been operating professional innovation management since 2017 as part of the cantonal service mandate. Since then, almost 1,000 ideas for more innovation in tourism have been collected together with an innovation community.
Some of the innovative ideas have been incorporated into new projects for the sustainable development of Graubünden's tourism future. The ideas came from a closed circle of creative and innovative players from the tourism and leisure industry. In order to submit a proposal, it was previously necessary to request access to the platform.
A brilliant idea
Graubünden Holidays is now opening the ideas platform to all interested parties. The Open Innovation Platform is freely accessible online. Ideas and suggestions for innovative offers and services in Graubünden tourism can be submitted on the platform within a short time and can also be commented on and evaluated there.
"It is important that ideas are submitted quickly and with a low threshold so that new projects can be launched and tested on the market as quickly as possible," explains Patrick Dreher, Chief Innovation Officer and Deputy Director of Graubünden Ferien. Mik Häfliger, the responsible innovation manager, adds: "We hope that this will lead to more spontaneous submissions, which in turn should enable timely pilot tests."
The platform was developed by Spot Werbung in St. Moritz on the basis of an existing Davos version in Graubünden. We are looking for ideas that either correspond to a new trend in tourism or could enable a new tourism business model. The submissions are assessed in a multi-stage process by both the platform community and experts.
