Nüssli: Giant ramp at the Big Air Festival in Chur

At the Big Air Festival in Chur, Nüssli realized various structures, including the ramp that took center stage on the sports grounds.

After the event premiere last year, the freeski and snowboard contests as well as concerts and parties took place again this year at the Big Air Festival in Chur. The event agency Nüssli was responsible for the 140-meter-long Big Air Ramp on the Obere Au sports grounds, which was made of 300 tons of steel. The 4-meter-high kicker placed on the ramp allowed winter sports acrobats to jump up to 24 meters. Freeskiers, snowboarders, men, women - they all showed their jumps and acrobatic tricks on the same ramp. They got to the start with the built-in lift.

In addition to the ramp, Nüssli had transformed the Obere Au area into a festival site with a music stage and open-air infrastructure, where, among other things.
Deichkind, Kraftklub and Busta Rhymes performed. The stage consisted of a stage house with a proscenium and a total of 33 meters wide, 24 meters deep and 10.5 meters high. In addition, there were the PA wings for the loudspeakers, a loading ramp, side and back storage as well as the front-of-house building for the lighting and sound technicians in the audience area, a wheelchair platform, supports for the rope cameras and a service bridge for the audience.
