Focus on sustainability: the Sustainable Switzerland Forum 2024

Mobility and energy, the Alpine ecosystem and biodiversity, and sustainable corporate governance were key topics addressed by stakeholders from business, academia, and politics at this year’s Sustainable Switzerland Forum.

The Sustainable Switzerland Forum 2024 brought together around 750 decision-makers from the worlds of business, science and politics at the Kursaal in Bern on August 22. Around 40 speakers from Switzerland and abroad highlighted current challenges in the areas of mobility, energy, biodiversity and corporate management.

CEO dinner and keynotes on current challenges

The evening before, an exclusive CEO dinner was held, at which historian Philipp Blom and former German Economics Minister Peter Altmaier provided important impetus. The conference day itself offered in-depth discussions on climate neutrality, the circular economy and the role of cooperation in sustainable corporate management.

Corine Blesi, Managing Director of NZZ Connect, emphasized the importance of the exchange between business, science and politics for the sustainable development of Switzerland.

The next Sustainable Switzerland Forum will take place on September 2, 2025 in Bern.
