Change of management at the Kongresshaus Zurich

The Kongresshaus Zürich will have new management from 2024. Director/CEO Roger Büchel has decided to step down at the end of 2023. Roger Büchel joined the company at the end of 2018 in the middle of the renovation phase. His task was to rebuild the company from scratch and represent the interests as operator during the building conversion, to get the house up and running, to reopen it and to reposition it in the national and international market.

Today, there are 100 permanent employees and 400 on-call staff. Under his leadership, the Kongresshaus achieved certifications and awards in the areas of quality management and sustainability. Important milestones were the establishment of sustainable customer relationships, ISO 9001 certification, the positioning of the new Lux Restaurant & Bar, and his involvement in the corporate restructuring necessary as a result of the pandemic at the end of 2022. The Board of Directors is now looking for a successor.
