Freiruum: Bringing brands and content to life
The tax haven of Zug is now evolving into an event paradise with attractive event venues such as the inspiring Freiruum.
Once again, it was worth getting up early for the Expo Event Breakfast Club. On Wednesday, around 50 Expo Event guests visited the unique Swiss Free Vacuum, a new experience and meeting zone in Zug. It is operated and marketed by the young and refreshing agency Pointbreak. "Pointbreak" is the decisive moment when a surfer catches the wave and conquers nature.
Oasis for B2B and B2C events
On 7,600 square meters you will find a market hall with numerous first-class food and market stalls, a large bar offer, shopping and workshop possibilities and much more. The associated sports hall for young and old offers a trampoline park, a parcour zone and one of the largest bouldering halls in Switzerland. There are also congress and seminar rooms for the use of public and business events.
New event hub
With event locations such as Freiruum, the Bossard Hockey Arena, Casino Zug and smaller and larger venues, Zug is increasingly becoming a nearby event hub for organizations that do not want to hold their event in the number one business hub of Zurich. Freiruum is a meeting zone for the public with a mix of high quality catering facilities workplace and event location, sports field, playground for families. Freiruum is one of the largest interim uses in Switzerland, open seven days a week.
Central location
The operator of Eventroom is the event group Pointbreakevents with the brand experience agency Pointbreak, the indoor surf palace Oana in Ebikon near Lucerne and the Freiruum. Media-and-Communication-Head Kim Grenacher (picture) said in her Expo-Event-Breakfast-speech about Pointbreak's mission: "We create lasting emotional memories for our target groups beyond pure information. We think and act outside the box. We take a step back behind a customer task to move forward. Then we aim to make the world a better place with our event."
Greta Thunberg likes that: Freiruum is located in the immediate vicinity, a five-minute walk from Zug train station, with first-class connections to Zurich and Zurich airport.
The contract of the operator Pointbreak and Freiruum runs until the end of 2022, when a new use is planned. However, it could be that the current usage concept will be continued. We will report on this.
