Aroma takes over the Expovina wine exhibition
After 68 years in the hands of the Sauter family, the Expovina wine exhibition is sold. The new owner will be the long-standing implementation partner Aroma. With the Expovina Primavera, which opens its doors at Puls 5 on Thursday, the official handover to the new organizer takes place.

Expovina with its autumn wine ships, the Wine Trophy and the Primavera spring festival is an institution. The company has been managed for 31 years by Bruno Sauter, who took over the management from his father. Bruno Sauter turns 80 this year and has therefore decided to sell the company to the Aroma agency.
Aroma soll Carry on heritage with care and tradition
Expovina is a wine exhibition with great charisma far beyond Zurich and many loyal and long-standing exhibitors. "With a lot of passion and the support of many employees, I have steered the wyship through the waves of Lake Zurich over all these years. I take with me many wonderful experiences. Now it is time to put Switzerland's largest public wine fair into new hands," says Bruno Sauer, handing over the helm to a new generation. In Aroma, he says, a strategic partner has been found who has been bringing brands to life and staging them for over 25 years and has a great deal of experience with trade shows.
Soul of the Expovina soll Remain unchanged
Aroma has already been on board for many years. So the successor is someone with a lot of know-how and a feel for the existing major events. Aroma co-owner Lukas Meier approaches the task with a great deal of respect: "We will carefully develop the three brands further where visitors and exhibitors feel a direct added value. It is important to us that the original idea, the charisma, and the soul of Expovina remain unchanged."
With Alina Schönenberger and Pascal Schlittler, two communication and sales professionals are continuing the story of Expovina: "We are very pleased to take over the helm of Expovina as a well-coordinated, entrepreneurial team with concentrated know-how in marketing, digitization and a great affinity for wine".
From Wyschiff to the largest marketing platform for wines
The Expovina was founded in 1953 by J.F. Sauter. It celebrated its debut on the Lake Zurich ship "Linth". His son Bruno Sauter was eleven years old at the time and performed unskilled jobs such as wiping planks and putting up wine bottles. In 1991, he took over the management of Expovina from his father. Today, the company with three pillars - the wine ships, the International Wine Awards and the Primavera spring fair - is the world's largest platform for wine marketing and attracts over 70,000 visitors annually.
2022 is the 67th edition of Expovina. Expovina Primavera will be held from Thursday until April 7, 2022. In Pulse 5, exhibitors at 60 booths will present 1500 different wines, including the latest vintages.
