Two New Jury Chairs for the Swiss Prize for Local Journalism

The Fondation Reinhardt von Graffenried has appointed two new jury presidents for the Swiss Media Prize for Local Journalism: Peter Hogenkamp, Head of Digital Media at the NZZ Group, will chair the online jury, and Patrick Nussbaum, Head of Information at RSR, will preside over the radio jury.

Peter Hogenkamp has been Head of Digital Media at the NZZ Group since August 2010 and was appointed a member of the Executive Board in August 2011, according to a press release issued on Friday. Prior to this, he was CEO of Blogwerk, a full-service agency specializing in social media. The Fondation Reinhardt von Graffenried is delighted that the proven online specialist has made himself available as president of the jury for the Swiss Media Prize for Local Journalism Online.

With the appointment of Patrick Nussbaum as President of the Radio Jury, the Fondation has also been able to bring its preferred candidate on board, according to the press release. The Head of the Radio Information Department at Radio Télévision Suisse has worked for the company in various roles since 1987 and has been Editor-in-Chief since 1998. The two previous jury presidents Jodok Kobelt (online) and Rolf Hieringer (radio) will continue to serve as jury members.

The Swiss Prize for Local Journalism Print.Oline.TV.Radio is aimed at all media professionals who have made outstanding achievements in local journalism in German, French, Italian or Romansh. The contributions of 2011 can be viewed at Dermedienpreis.ch can be submitted until January 6, 2012. The best works in each category will be awarded prizes of CHF 20,000 each.
