Zürichsee-Zeitung: Change in editorial management

Philipp Kleiser has taken over as head of the ZSZ regional newsroom in Horgen. He succeeds Lukas Matt, who had led the newsroom since 2007 and is now moving to ABB Switzerland as a communications consultant.

Lukas Matt has worked as an editor for the ZSZ since 2000, initially in the main editorial office in Stäfa, then from 2004 as deputy editorial manager in Horgen. As editorial director, he merged, among other things, the editorial offices of Thalwiler Anzeiger, Sihltaler and ZSZ into a joint location in Horgen. In addition, the catchment area of the ZSZ as a daily newspaper was expanded to include the entire district of Horgen.

35-year-old Philipp Kleiser has been working as an editor for the ZSZ since 2008. He gained his first journalistic experience in 1996 as a trainee on the editorial staff of the Sihltaler, for which he worked as a freelancer until 2005. After completing his studies in journalism, linguistics and sociology at the University of Zurich in the fall of 2005, he gained further professional experience as an editor at the Zug business magazine Finanzplatz Zug and as a communications specialist at a medium-sized company in the dental industry before returning to ZSZ in 2008.
