Zürcher Unterländer is no longer the official publication organ of Bülach
Bad news for the *Zürcher Unterländer*: Starting in January 2020, the newspaper will no longer be the official publication of the city of Bülach. The city plans to publish its official announcements primarily online in the future.

Planning applications and road projects will continue to be discussed in the Unterländer The town of Bülach announced on Monday. However, the online publication of other official announcements such as building tenders, naturalizations and voting results is an opportunity to improve information for the population. The website is easy to access at any time and increases the transparency of municipal information.
It remains to be seen whether there will still be official obituaries in the future. The cemetery association can decide for itself whether to retain the funeral notices.
The publication of official notices is an important financial mainstay for print media. Recently, however, other publications have also had to forego this income, such as the Winterthur Country Messenger. Since the beginning of 2018, municipalities have been permitted to publish the "Amtliche" online rather than in a newspaper. (SDA)
