Zurich Journalism Award 2012 announced

Texts can now be submitted for the 2012 Zurich Journalism Prize. The prize will be awarded for the 32nd time in spring 2012.

The Zurich Journalism Prize is awarded in the following four categories:

- Articles in newspapers (Newspaper Award)
- Contributions to journals or magazines (journal award)
- Contributions from media professionals who have not yet reached the age of 30 (Young Talent Award)
- Overall work (nomination by jury or foundation board).

Each of these prizes is endowed with 10,000 Swiss francs. The division into a newspaper and a magazine prize allows the different journalistic conditions in terms of time and quantity to be taken into account. The Young Talent Award serves to promote the work of young media professionals, as stipulated in the foundation's purpose.

Texts can still be submitted until January 15, 2012 (date of postmark). The application procedure is described on the Website of the Zurich Journalism Award is described. The application form can also be downloaded there.
