How are you, Marcel Reif?

The Zurich-based storytelling agency Schroten has developed three new interview formats for Hello Zurich.

News rules the world. Every story, every interview must have a topical hook. Preferably a scandal. But what about those people who are not involved in a scandal and are simply interesting per se? The people with whom you would love to have an endless conversation because they have achieved great things in their lives? Together with the storytelling agency Schroten, the Hello Zurich portal is giving them three new, informal interview formats.

"How are you?" - the most commonplace of all questions, forms the introduction to the first format. But what if "How are you?" is meant seriously and opens up a space in which interviewer and interviewee can actually exchange ideas? This is what happened in an interview with Marcel Reif, probably the best-known sports commentator in the German-speaking world. But also with dialect legend E.K.R., TV-Treasure Gülsha Adilji or the former FCZ star Marco "Schönbi" Schönbächlerwho - although still tricky and much-loved by the fans - was taken out of service at the age of 31, the exchange is going smoothly.

The second format involves alcohol consumption and a walk: For "A Wegbier with..." celebrities are accompanied from A to B and treated to a beer - if they accept it. For example, journalist Michèle Roten walked from ice cream stand to restaurant with star restaurateur Zizi Hattab, or Adrian Schräder walked through Kreis 7 with computer music pioneer and soundtrack composer Bruno Spoerri to dig into his musical treasure trove of the last 70 years in his studio on Neptunstrasse. As with all formats, photographer Jasmin Frei is always responsible for the pictures.

Author Olivia El Sayed ventured into the premiere of the third format and talked to an astonishingly ill-informed chatbot for "vs. artificial intelligence". The entertaining exchange probably left both artificial and human intelligence somewhat confused, but nevertheless elicited a lot of authenticity from the interviewee. In this way, the three new formats, always in a different setting, give rise to unexpected conversations and in-depth discussions in areas that interest and concern the interviewees personally and honestly.
