Weltwoche journalist Philipp Gut must go to court

Weltwoche journalist Philipp Gut will have to answer to the Zurich District Court on November 18. He is accused of violation of personality rights.

At issue is a picture in the context of 2013 reporting on the alleged former proximity of Tages-Anzeiger editor-in-chief Res Strehle to terrorists. However, the plaintiff is not Strehle, but a Zurich educationalist, according to the district court's list of hearings published Wednesday. In one of the reports, he was shown in a photo. According to the caption, this showed a convicted terrorist. In fact, there was a completely different man in the picture, who merely had a similar name. In a later issue, Weltwoche corrected the error. (SDA)
