Move to Germany: Steffi Buchli transforms the newsroom of "Bild"
Journalist and media executive Steffi Buchli, former editor-in-chief of *Blick*, is taking on a new role at the German media brand *Bild*. After 24 years in the Swiss media industry, she is moving to one of Europe’s largest tabloid publishers.
The journalist and media manager was Chief Content Officer of Blick and a member of the Executive Board of Ringier Media Switzerland until the end of May 2025. Prior to this, she was Editor-in-Chief of Sports at Blick and Head of Programming at the sports channel MySports.
The 46-year-old began her career at Swiss television, where she made a name for herself as a sports journalist and presenter.
On behalf of Marion Horn, Chairwoman of the Bild editorial offices, she is taking on responsibility for the topic of newsroom transformation. She writes on LinkedIn: "In Switzerland, Steffi has shown how to successfully restructure newsrooms and create modern tabloids. Her extensive expertise in linear and digital moving images makes her a real asset. And as a sports journalist, she brings valuable know-how in a BILD core competence."
