Traveling exhibition on journalism launched

The bilingual traveling exhibition «In Search of the Truth. Us and Journalism» will be on display at Zurich’s Photobastei from Friday through July 6. It highlights the role the media plays in democracy, sheds light on challenges such as fake news, and invites visitors to make journalistic decisions for themselves.

How do the media influence our perception of the truth? This is the question addressed by the Journalistory realized Exhibition. It reflects how important journalism is for opinion-forming and democracy.

The interactive exhibition takes visitors through various stations. In the newsroom, visitors solve a journalistic investigation as a team - including time pressure and ethical considerations. Other stations test media skills, expose fake news and shed light on key journalistic events of the last few decades, including the Panama Papers revelations and the role of the media in the coronavirus pandemic.

Accompanying the exhibition, the Scoop!" competition will be held. Participants can submit their own journalistic contributions, the best of which will be awarded prizes and published.

Two copies of the traveling exhibition are on the road. The tour started last week at the Kulturmuseum St. Gallen and can also be seen at the Käfigturm in Bern from Saturday. It will run until 2026.
