Wander switches from print to online
Wander in Bern, the manufacturer of the Swiss national drink Ovomaltine and owner of numerous other brands, is discontinuing its «Wander Magazin» and plans to focus more on online newsletters instead.
The last print edition of Wander Magazin is the spring issue. The magazine Contact, later renamed Wander Magazin and produced by Infel, was intended to draw the attention of the Swiss from the Ovomaltine brand to the numerous other brands of the Wander Group, as Cpwissen.de writes. It was published every six months with a circulation of 150,000 copies in Switzerland.
However, the new management team appointed in March 2011 around Arnold Furtwaengler, who as Managing Director is also responsible for marketing, is now focusing on a change of strategy. Instead of the print product, various online newsletters are now to reach customers "in order to be able to react more quickly to news and be even closer to the customer", according to Cpwissen.de. The new forms of online communication are currently being developed.
