VSP with a new organizational and financing model
The general meeting of the Association of Swiss Private Radio Stations (VSP) unanimously approved a new organizational and financing model. The revised budget and the adjusted membership fees were also approved.
At the general meeting of the Association of Swiss Private Radio Stations (VSP) in Bern, not only existing but also new members were welcomed. With this addition, the VSP now represents 22 private radio stations, which together reach around 2.3 million daily listeners in German- and Italian-speaking Switzerland, according to a statement from the association. In addition to the regular agenda items, a new organizational and financing model was discussed and approved at the general meeting.
In addition to the common interests of all members, the individual needs of the radio stations can now be better taken into account. As part of the election business, Peter Scheurer did not stand for re-election; he was bid farewell as a long-standing member of the Board. Martin Muerner was re-elected for a further term of office as Board member and Vice President.
The Board of Directors will now adapt the Articles of Association to the organizational and financing model that has been adopted and propose the changes at the next General Assembly, the press release continues. Following this, the supplementary elections to the Executive Board can be held. At their meeting, the members of the VSP expressed their desire for a strong association that is committed to improving the framework conditions for private radio stations.
