Volker Dietzel new Chief Technology & Innovation Officer at NZZ

NZZ is appointing a new Head of Products & Technology: From April 2025, Volker Dietzel will take over the role of Chief Technology & Innovation Officer (CTIO) from Andreas Bossecker, who will leave the company at the end of 2025.

From April 2025, Volker Dietzel will take over as Chief Technology & Innovation Officer (CTIO) and head the Products & Technology division at NZZ. The 55-year-old is currently Chief Technology & Product Officer at the NZZ subsidiary "DAAily platforms". He brings with him extensive experience from previous positions at Swisscom, IBM Global Services and Ambrite, the company he founded.

Dietzel will drive forward the digital development of NZZ, focusing on innovative products, data-driven initiatives and a modern IT infrastructure. "With Volker Dietzel, we are gaining a strategic thinker and doer who will play a decisive role in shaping the future viability of the NZZ," says CEO Felix Graf.

Dietzel succeeds Andreas Bossecker, who will leave NZZ as planned at the end of 2025 after ten years. Bossecker shaped the digital transformation of NZZ with projects such as the introduction of digital processes, modern CRM systems and the merging of product, data and technology. Until his departure, he will accompany the transition as Senior Advisor.
