TX Group pays full wages despite short-time work

TX Group is preparing for a "longer phase with even more extensive short-time working". To reduce the disadvantages for the workforce, the company intends to continue paying full wages despite short-time work, at least until the end of June.

Unfortunately, there is no reason to hope for a quick return to normality, TX Group announced on Friday. This means that TX Group will have to prepare for a longer phase with even more extensive short-time work.

In order to keep the economic damage for the employees low, the company decided to compensate the 80 percent short-time work compensation by the unemployment insurance to 100 percent. "Voluntarily and for the time being limited until the end of June," as the company writes. What will come after that is open.

Waiver of profit sharing

At the same time, the management of the TX Group and the managing directors of the four companies Tamedia, Goldbach, 20 Minuten and TX Markets had decided to waive any claim from the so-called "corporate management profit-sharing program" for the current year, regardless of what happens next.

The announcement to introduce short-time work had caused great resentment among the TX Group workforce. In an open letter, the employees demanded that the management should also make a contribution to savings in this crisis. (SDA)
