TX Group presents half-year figures 2025 and launches share buyback program
In the first half of 2025, TX Group generated operating revenue of CHF 426.6 million, down from CHF 461 million in the prior year. Operating income (EBIT adj.) fell to CHF 38.5 million (previous year: CHF 56.5 million). A challenging market environment, one-time effects, and investments in the transformation weighed on the bottom line.

While the investments Swiss Marketplace Group (SMG) and JobCloud contributed to the result, the media brands Tamedia, 20 Minuten and Goldbach remained under pressure. 20 Minuten in particular is facing far-reaching restructuring with the discontinuation of the print edition at the end of 2025 and job cuts. Tamedia was able to increase the number of digital subscriptions and expand its digital advertising revenues. At Goldbach, provisions led to a lower result, while the replay ads business grew.
SMG recorded double-digit revenue growth and is preparing for a possible IPO as planned. JobCloud kept its margin stable and continued to invest in digital products.
The Board of Directors has also decided on a public share buyback program: Treasury shares amounting to a mid-single-digit percentage of the capital are to be bought back over three years and then canceled. In this way, TX Group intends to streamline its capital structure and return funds to shareholders.
Publisher and Chairman of the Board of Directors Pietro Supino explained that the first half of the year was below expectations. Nevertheless, the company is sticking to its strategic direction and making targeted investments in quality, digital development and efficiency.
