Transhelvetica lets the National Council candidates hike

In light of the National Council elections in October, the Swiss travel culture magazine Transhelvetica has focused on a “politicians’ hike.” For its latest issue, dated August 18, 2011, Transhelvetica sent various politicians on a hike.

Fulvio Pelli (President FDP), Oskar Freysinger (National Council SVP), Tiana Angelina Moser (National Council GLP), Bea Heim (National Council SP) and Geri Müller (National Council Greens) contribute to the article. The participants could manage the hike individually and wrote a subjective report about it. The proposed hiking route was a scenic route along the southern foot of the Jura, which readers can now view on the shoulders of the various National Councilors.

In addition to the Politkerwanderung, topics such as intelligence stories in the Jura, sheep drives in the Valais and a type of PopCorn flour from Ticino will complete the issue.
