Tobias Wedermann becomes head of football at Blick
34-year-old Tobias Wedermann, head of the sports editorial team at 20 Minuten since 2021, will take over as head of the football department at Blick-Sport on September 1, 2024. The current head of football Christian Finkbeiner will move to the deputy position.
"In Tobias Wedermann, we have gained a high-profile expert on the Swiss football scene and a journalist with an excellent network for this role," says Emanuel Gisi, Head of Sports at Viewon the new personnel. "With Wedermann and Finkbeiner at the helm, our football team is ideally equipped for everything that happens on and off the pitch."
At 20 minutes Wedermann headed the Zurich section for three years before his time as Head of Sport. Since 2018, he has also acted as print and online editor. From 2021, the Zurich native was also a member of the editorial board.
