Teleclub launches a new TV channel
Teleclub Prime, a new and exclusive Swiss pay TV channel, goes on the air on November 1. The channel shows more than 400 feature films, exclusive documentaries, and the self-produced talk show "Persönlich by Claudia Lässer" per year.
As of November 1, Teleclub's programming lineup will get a new addition: Teleclub Prime. According to the announcement, this channel will offer subscribers a mix of high-quality feature films, exclusive documentaries and new in-house productions. The 24-hour program will not include any commercial breaks. Teleclub Prime will take over the channel slot previously held by Disney Channel, which will continue to broadcast as a free-to-air channel from spring 2014, and can be received by all Teleclub subscribers in the Teleclub basic package on all distribution channels such as Swisscom TV, Sunrise TV and in cable networks. With the three in-house movie channels Teleclub Cinema, Teleclub Star and now Teleclub Prime, Teleclub subscribers can thus enjoy over 1200 feature films a year. "On Teleclub Prime, Swiss film is also given a permanent place," says program director Claudia Lässer. "In addition, we are producing our own formats with a connection to Switzerland." Teleclub Prime will also be a platform for new content.
Launch with own talk show
The first in-house production will be the new talk format "Persönlich by Claudia Lässer. The host welcomes guests who talk openly and honestly about current topics and about themselves in "her" living room. Other in-house comedy productions are already being planned for the first quarter of 2014.
