Tele Züri celebrates 20th anniversary
On Thursday evening, about 400 people gathered at Komplex 457 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the regional television station.
Heavyweights from the Swiss media industry such as SRG Director General Roger De Weck and Tamedia Chairman of the Board Pietro Supino were on hand, as were prominent political representatives. Councillors Markus Kägi, Ernst Stocker, Martin Graf and Mario Fehr were joined by Zurich City Councilors Daniel Leupi and Filippo Leutenegger. The latter addressed the assembled guests with a message of greeting from the city council. City President Corinne Mauch sent her congratulations via video message.
Celebrities such as Gilbert Gress, Rainer Maria Salzgeber and Vera Dillier, the entire TeleZüri team with countless old and new familiar faces, and numerous representatives of the advertising industry rounded out the crowd of guests. Of course, Roger Schawinski, who launched Switzerland's first private local TV station with TeleZüri 20 years ago, was not to be missed. And AZ publisher Peter Wanner welcomed the guests personally at the beginning of the evening. Markus Gilli, Editor-in-Chief of the station family, and presenter Tina Biedermann then led through the evening. They took the guests on an entertaining journey through 20 years of TeleZüri history.
