Tele 1 gradually switches to HD
Tele 1, the Central Swiss television station, is broadcasting its signal in HD. The transition is taking place in stages and is set to begin in the coming days. By next summer, all of the regional station’s programs will be available in HD quality.
The HD switchover is currently in full swing at Zentralschweizer Fernsehen, as detailed in a press release. However, the switch to the high-definition signal will not take place all at once, but in several phases and will be completed by next summer. The first programs to be broadcast in HD include "Fokus", "Wetter", "Unterwegs", "Kontrovers" and "Persönlich". The second phase will include "Money" and "Cinema".The regional advertising block and the various publicity report programs will also be available in HD quality from next week.
The changeover will also take place on November 1, 2014 for the livestreaming signal distributed via the Internet (Live.tele1.ch) Application.
Below is the start date for the Tele 1 HD switchover at the three largest TV providers in Central Switzerland:
- Tuesday, 28.10.2014: Quickline (in Zug and Nidwalden, among others)
- Tuesday, 04.11.2014: UPC Cablecom
- Wednesday, 05.11.2014: Swisscom TV
