"Technische Rundschau" Reinventing Itself

Technische Rundschau is turning a new page. Founded in 1909, the Swiss industry magazine is undergoing a strategic and editorial realignment following its integration into the Medienart Group. With a clear focus on conciseness, relevance, and decision-making value, the magazine is positioning itself as an efficient information platform for Swiss industry decision-makers.

Technische Rundschau is responding to changing reading habits in the industry. Today, information is evaluated more quickly and decisions are made more efficiently. In response, the editorial team has adopted a clearer structure, more compact formats, and a consistent focus on the essentials.

More concise content, greater relevance

In the future, news stories will be presented more precisely, feature articles will be stripped of unnecessary content, and the layout will be more visually structured. New sections such as «In Depth» extend digital content into print and provide additional context. Supplementary info boxes convey background information at a glance.

By streamlining its content in this way, Technische Rundschau positions itself as an efficient information platform for Swiss industry decision-makers. Executives, production managers, and development engineers benefit from the clearly structured and focused presentation of the content.

A continuous process rather than a one-time relaunch

This evolution is not intended to be a one-time relaunch, but rather an ongoing process. Reader feedback will be actively incorporated into the magazine’s future design, ensuring that it is continually adapted to meet new information needs.

Eugen Albisser serves as editor-in-chief and is responsible for editorial management. The editorial team also includes Selina Mathis, who works as an editor, as well as other tech influencers. On the sales team, Christian Heim, Laurent Champod, and Lisa Freiburghaus work on *Technische Rundschau*.

«Our goal is to continue developing *Technische Rundschau* into one of the most modern and relevant industry platforms in the German-speaking world,» said Albisser. «With a clear focus on decision-making relevance and quality, we are deliberately prioritizing impact over volume—which is in line with our strategic direction within the Medienart Group.»

The Medienart Group also includes the trade publications Etrends, Phase5, and Domotech, as well as the consumer magazines Annabelle, Le Menu, and Zeitlupe. Eugen Albisser, a member of the executive board, will lead the integration of Technische Rundschau.
