Tamedia launches Natura magazine

The Swiss media group Tamedia will launch the magazine *Natura* in May 2013. The magazine will be published in German and French and will be included as a supplement in ten regional daily newspapers from Lake Geneva to Lake Zurich.

Editing and sales are now part of the Schweizer Familie team in Zurich. An additional department will be created with six new employees. Barbara Schmutz will take over as head of the department. She has extensive experience as a journalist, text producer and concept developer for various daily newspapers and magazines, including Schweizer Familie and the women's magazine Annabelle, which are also published by Tamedia, according to a Schweizer Familie press release. The sales team is to be supplemented by an area sales manager.

Natura will be published four times a year with 84 pages. The magazine is aimed at anyone who wants to rediscover and enjoy Switzerland, according to a Tamedia press release. Natura shows the beautiful and natural sides of Switzerland, contains new ideas for vacations close to nature, excursions and outdoor activities and whets the appetite for healthy, regional specialties and traditional recipes. It also shows those interested in culture where old customs are still practiced and traditional arts and crafts are cultivated and presents reports on Switzerland's flora and fauna. Tips for the home, kitchen and garden are also part of the program.

The Natura magazine will be enclosed with Tamedia's regional daily newspapers in German- and French-speaking Switzerland and will achieve national coverage with a circulation of 540,000 copies. A total of 1.3 million readers of the following daily newspapers will receive Natura: 24 heures, BO Berner Oberländer, BZ Berner Zeitung, Der Bund, BZ Langenthaler Tagblatt, Tages-Anzeiger, Tribune de Genève, TT Thuner Tagblatt, Zürcher Unterländer and Zürichsee-Zeitung.
