Tages-Anzeiger renounces New York Times bundle
The Tages-Anzeiger will no longer include the New York Times supplement on Mondays. The reason for discontinuing the English-language supplement is the steadily increasing use of digital media.
The publisher wrote this on Monday in the New York Times-Bund, which was published last with it. From the end of August, however, the Tages-Anzeiger wants to introduce a new section on its news portal. Under "Best of international Newspapers Today," a daily selection of "the most interesting articles from the leading newspapers in Europe and America" will be posted.
The eight-page weekly supplement "New York Times International Weekly" appeared for the first time in September 2010 in the Tages-Anzeiger and contained selected English-language articles from the renowned American paper from the areas of international affairs, business, culture and science (Werbewoche.ch reported).
