SWS Medien: Ramona Hodel becomes publishing director
Ramona Hodel, 28, will become the new publishing director of SWS Medien Verlag in Willisau, Lucerne, effective April 1. She previously served as deputy publishing director and will succeed Sabine Galindo, who plans to join the board of directors.
SWS Medien Verlag, based in Willisau, is a subsidiary of Willisauer Bote Medien und Print. It produces the Willisauer Bote and the Seetaler Bote on behalf of the company. 28 people work for the two titles. Ramona Hodel grew up in Willisau. She has held various positions at the Willisauer Boten since 2004. Sabine Galindo, from Basel, has been Publishing Director in Willisau since 2011. She also took over as Publishing Director of Basler Zeitung in 2012. Galindo will remain with SWS Medien and will be elected as a new member of the Board of Directors, according to a press release issued on Friday. The Annual General Meeting will take place on June 13, 2014.
The five-member Board of Directors also reorganized the Executive Board. This consists of the new Publishing Director Ramona Hodel and the Chairman Stefan Calivers, Editor-in-Chief of the Willisauer Bote. Reto Bieri, Editor-in-Chief of the Seetaler Bote, is also a member of the extended Executive Board, and the Board of Directors is convinced that the personnel measures have set the course for the continued successful future of the media company, according to the press release.
