Swiss Professional Media takes over Binkert Medien
Swiss Professional Media in Basel has acquired all shares of Binkert Medien in Laufenburg, Aargau, retroactive to January 1, 2018.
Both companies see synergies in this merger, which should have a positive effect on the further development of the journals they publish.
Binkert Medien in Laufenburg is the publisher of the publications Technical review, Polyscope, Polydrive, Food Technology, Material Handling and Swiss logistics catalog. The family-owned company employs around 20 people and is one of Switzerland's leading publishers of trade journals in the business sector.
According to its own statements on Tuesday, Swiss Professional Media is the market-leading Swiss specialist information publisher in the medical, dental, retail/wholesale, SME, transport and intralogistics sectors. The acquisition of Binkert Medien is intended to open up the segments of production technology, mechanical engineering, industry, industrial electronics/automation, drive technology and the beverage/food industry.
