Start of TF1's Swiss advertising window

Swiss publisher Ringier and TF1, the most-watched private French broadcaster in French-speaking Switzerland, launched the first commercial breaks on the Swiss channel’s frequency on Saturday. This is part of the pre-launch phase, featuring blocks placed around news programs to ensure advertisers receive the highest-quality airtime possible.

The effective launch of the full offer with longer feeds will take place at the beginning of 2012 to meet market demand. Initial reactions from the market have been very positive so far, according to a Ringier communiqué from the Ringier Romandie marketing team. The station's positioning, as well as the services planned by the director, would be viewed particularly positively by those advertisers looking for new ways to reach the entire French-speaking Swiss clientele.

Patrick Zanello, head of advertising at Ringier Romandie, is pleased to report that talks are already underway with advertising clients from the banking, watchmaking and cosmetics industries, for example, about projects for 2012. The dialog on quality between the advertising agencies and the marketing team is also in full swing. The marketing team is now fully staffed with one agency in German-speaking Switzerland (Zurich) and one in French-speaking Switzerland. An expansion of the range is planned for the next few weeks and further innovations are to be announced.
