SRF Director Ruedi Matter wants to take more risks and try new things—and launch a program for up-and-coming talent at SF.
"There used to be shows like 'Karussell' where we could experiment. Today, there is a lack of such magazines where young presenters, cameramen or directors can gain experience," he says in an interview with the TV magazines Tele and TV-Star. He would also "prefer to have an additional channel on which we could show live sport". But the political prospects for this are poor. Ruedi Matter describes his third wish as follows: "We simply don't have the money for a foreign journal. We would have to employ additional staff - like ARD and ZDF do."
