Pressure to save: SRF ends live coverage of the World Economic Forum Davos
According to a report in the NZZ am Sonntag, Swiss broadcaster SRF is discontinuing its live coverage of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

A spokesperson for SRF confirmed the information to the newspaper and explained that this was a consequence of the savings program. SRF and the production company TPC would have to reduce the 2019 budget by a total of CHF 30 million and this would not be possible without making certain cuts to the program. The "SRF live Debate" is the only live program that SRF is retaining.
According to the NZZ on Sunday The competition is already happy about the move. The English-language business channel CNN Money Switzerland, for example, sees SRF's withdrawal from the Davos WEF as an opportunity for itself.
