"SonnTalk" celebrated its 20th anniversary

Together with about 80 invited guests, the successful Swiss TV talk show celebrated its 20th anniversary on Wednesday evening at the old cigarette factory on the Limmat. Markus Gilli welcomed not only numerous representatives from the worlds of politics and business but also long-time staff members who usually work behind the scenes.

For 20 years, Markus Gilli has been bringing the latest topics with controversial protagonists into the living rooms of German-speaking Switzerland with his program "SonnTalk". Last night, the TV talk format celebrated its milestone birthday at the old Cigaretten Fabrik on Sihlquai in Zurich. Some 80 invited guests from the worlds of business and politics gathered to join Markus Gilli in toasting the special occasion. The guests included Cantonal Councilor Mario Fehr, former National Councilor Christoph Mörgeli, Weltwoche Editor-in-Chief and National Councilor Roger Köppel, National Councilor Jaqueline Badran, National Councilor Doris Fiala and many other prominent political, business and media representatives.

Together with TeleZüri presenter Patricia Zuber, Markus Gilli offered the guests present an entertaining review of 20 years of "SonnTalk" with numerous anecdotes about some of the most significant moments, which were specially illustrated by an artist and exhibited as a vernissage. The assembled guests chatted animatedly until late in the evening.
