Somedia continues to produce the jacket section of the newspapers itself
Somedia has decided to continue producing the cover section of its own daily newspapers itself and to forego cooperative ventures with other publishing houses that go beyond the current collaboration.

This also means that the cooperation with Basler Zeitung, which had been examined by a project team, will no longer apply. According to the press release, this step was taken in agreement with Basler Zeitung.
Today, Somedia cooperates with AZ Medien, owned by publisher Peter Wanner, in the area of federal house editing. In view of the widespread jacket cooperations, the Chur-based media house, which also owns Werbewoche, writes on Friday afternoon that it wants to focus on its own, individual solution in the future, which does not, however, exclude selective cooperation with other publishers.
The Board of Directors has commissioned Andrea Masüger to work with the Editor-in-Chief to develop a concept for a new cover section. After leaving his post as CEO in mid-2018, Masüger will also provide journalistic support for the mantle as the Board of Directors' journalistic representative. (pd/hae)
