SF plans newsroom
Starting in 2014, the editorial teams of «Schweiz aktuell,» «Tagesschau,» and «10 vor 10» will be consolidated into a single newsroom. SF Editor-in-Chief Diego Yanez confirmed this to the television magazine TV-Star.
"With a newsroom, we want to deploy our forces even more effectively," says Diego Yanez. However, detailed statements are not possible at the moment - the concept will not be developed until 2012. Will the three newsrooms be completely dissolved? Yanez: "We can't assume that 'Schweiz aktuell', 'Tagesschau' and '10 vor 10' will be merged into a single large editorial department. That would make little sense." But the reverse is also true: If the newsroom comes, the clear separation of the three newsrooms will be over. That's why, according to the TV star, SF employees at Leutschenbach are worried that there will be job cuts. SF Editor-in-Chief Diego Yanez contradicts: "The newsroom is not associated with any savings package."
