SF: Five news formats in a uniform design
Starting February 29, 2012, five SF news programs will feature a new look. SRF is standardizing the design of its daily news programs and aligning it with the overall look of the SRF umbrella brand.
SRF will give its news formats "Tagesschau," "10vor10," "SF Börse," "Schweiz aktuell" and "SF Meteo" a new look starting Wednesday, February 29, 2012. In the course of convergence and the trimedial corporate structure, the appearance of the news programs will be adapted and further developed, according to a statement on Friday. The news programs are now based on the same design concept and are strongly linked to the SRF umbrella brand in terms of appearance. In order to create orientation and differentiation between the individual formats for the audience, the set, music, dramaturgy and methodology of each broadcast differ. The universal symbol of the news formats is and remains the globe. It symbolizes information, topicality and, by proxy, world events.
The new design of the "Tagesschau" stands for a more precise and more ritualized staging, it continues. The familiar form does not change much. This saves the audience from having to reorient themselves and makes it easier to absorb information. "10vor10," on the other hand, develops more innovative narrative forms as a younger and more in-depth format. The visual instruments for a more differentiated analysis would be expanded. In addition, a topic-enhancing monitor wall would be used. "SF Börse" would be simplified in its staging. For the short program, the focus will be on a precise, ritualized dramaturgy. In addition, the information graphics created for the main news formats will also be used in the future for "SF Meteo" and "Schweiz aktuell.
