Serge Reymond new on the Board of Directors of Le Temps

The 13th General Assembly of Le Temps in Geneva acknowledged the results of the 2010 financial year with satisfaction. Serge Reymond was appointed to the Board of Directors.

After the particularly high demands of 2009, which necessitated considerable cost reductions, an excellent operating result was achieved in 2010 thanks to very good cost control and a general increase in sales, according to a press release issued on Friday.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Stéphane Garelli, has warmly thanked Tibère Adler, the outgoing General Manager of the Edipresse Group, for his persistent commitment and his decisive contribution to the success of Le Temps, according to a statement. His successor is Serge Reymond, Director of Edipresse Switzerland, who will represent the interests of the shareholder Tamedia/Edipresse alongside Lamunière and Supino. The Board of Directors of Le Temps is thus composed as follows:

Stéphane Garelli, President
Claude Demole, as a private individual
Pierre Lamunière, Chairman and Delegate of the Board of Directors of the Edipresse Group
Daniel Pillard, Managing Director Ringier Romandie
Serge Reymond, General Manager Edipresse Switzerland
Michael Ringier, Chairman of the Board of Directors Ringier
Pietro Supino, Chairman of the Board of Directors Tamedia
Jean-Clément Texier, Le Monde, Paris
Marc Walder, Managing Director Ringier Switzerland & Germany

Following the launch of a "pioneering payment system on its website in mid-January, the redynamization of the graphic line of the daily newspaper and supplements this spring and the constant enrichment of its editorial offer on all media", Le Temps is now preparing for the imminent launch of paid iPhone and iPad applications. In order to ensure the necessary level of quality and to improve the management of its numerous projects, Le Temps has also strengthened its deputy editor-in-chief.
