Scaglione wants to know it again

As reported by the newspaper Schweiz am Sonntag, Giuseppe Scaglione, the former founder of Radio 105, has registered a new company called My105 in the commercial register.

It has stated the "operation of politically and denominationally neutral radio stations" as the company's purpose. In addition, My105 is supposed to be able to produce other media products or operate digital music platforms. As the newspaper Schweiz am Sonntag notes, this description is "more or less" a copy of the company First Music Network, under which Radio 105 operated and which was liquidated a year ago. After the bankruptcy and the Setting the operation in January 2014, Radio 105 was taken over by Roger Schawinski and renamed Planet 105. Partly due to the withdrawal from German-speaking Switzerland broadcasting by DAB+, Planet 105 has fewer net listeners today; in the second half of 2014, there were 74'000 per day, compared to just over 100,000 in the first half of 2013.

Scaglione does not want to say anything about the concrete plans with My105 - the corresponding domain was already registered in 2005. It is still too early for that. (hae/SaS)
