Salt: The new CEO is a Swiss

Salt will introduce its new CEO on Monday. According to the Sonntagszeitung, the new CEO is reportedly Swiss.

The Sonntagszeitung is referring to an internal media release from the telecoms provider. In it, the date of the announcement of the successor to Johan Andsjö but not yet his name. The newspaper also claims to know that the new CEO is Swiss. The representatives of French investor Xavier Niel wanted a boss who knows Switzerland inside out.

Whoever it is, high expectations are being placed on them. According to the Sonntagszeitung, the investor claims that the company has been poorly managed in recent years. The French are annoyed that although the company has changed its name for 40 million francs, there are no simplified tariff models or products. In addition, the name change had caused IT chaos, which in turn had damaged the Salt brand.

Update 25.01.2016: Andreas Schönenberger becomes new CEO

The name will be retained - everything else will change. Services will now be provided internally and antennas will be set up in-house. Many of the external suppliers were simply too expensive, the French are convinced. The aim is to achieve a standard on a par with Swisscom in three years' time. (hae/Sundtagszeitung)
