Rundfunk.fm and Radio1 enter into partnership
Radio 1 and Rundfunk.fm are entering into a partnership from December 1, 2011: From 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., "Rundfunk.fm uf Radio 1" will be an autonomous format on Radio 1 every day.
The new offer is a format for night owls, night owls and insomniacs, writes Radio 1 in a press release on Wednesday. At the beginning of each week, "Rundfunk.fm uf Radio 1" presents musical trouvailles and rarities as a rhythm to listen to at home. From Thursday to Saturday, the format will be the active companion for Zurich's nightlife. "Rundfunk.fm uf Radio1" is - analogous to the 30-day festival at the National Museum - a radio experience in a public context. Radio 1 boss Roger Schawinski comments: "We are thus expanding our offering in an exciting time slot that has not yet been properly utilized by any broadcaster. The urban Rundfunk.fm community will complete our spectrum in the best possible way. I am looking forward to this absolutely innovative experiment and the creative collaboration with Oliver Scotoni." The Rundfunk.fm boss: "We are looking forward to the further development of Rundfunk.fm into a daily format. Enriching the night musically and gastronomically allows us to live out our creative potential. And in Roger Schawinski's Radio1, we have found the perfect partner for the realization of the project."
