Rüdi Steiner becomes editor-in-chief of Blick.ch

The new editor-in-chief of Blick.ch is Rüdi Steiner. Steiner has been Head of Online Editorial at AZ Medien and a member of the Editorial Board at Aargauer Zeitung since 2010. He will take on his new role on May 1, 2014 at the latest.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief Blick.ch as of January 1, 2014 will be Fabian Zürcher, currently one of the four interim heads of Blick. Rüdi Steiner, 48, studied Italian, German literature and business informatics at the Universities of Zurich and Bologna. From 2004 to 2006, he headed the business department at Blick and completed Ringier's "Peak 1" management training. From 2006 he was head of the Cash daily editorial department and from 2007 editor-in-chief of the entire Cash media network. Since 2010, he has been head of online editorial at AZ Medien and, in this capacity, also a member of the editorial board of the Aargauer Zeitung. Steiner will assume his new role in the Blick Group newsroom on May 1, 2014 at the latest.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Blick.ch as of January 1, 2014, Fabian Zürcher, 36, currently interim Editor-in-Chief of Blick. Zürcher first studied English and law at the University of Bern, and later journalism, psychology and modern history at the University of Zurich. Fabian Zürcher started as a journalist in the Blick Group in 2006, became Head of the People Department Online on January 1, 2009, and finally Deputy Head of the People Department of the Blick Group in 2010 with the launch of the newsroom, and later page maker for Blick as well as Blick.ch. Since August 20, 2013, Fabian Zürcher has been one of the four interim heads of Blick, along with Felix Bingesser, Thomas Ley and Dominik Hug.

Other members of the Blick.ch management team are Thomas Enderle and Benjamin Rüegg, who had previously managed the platform together on an interim basis.
