Roger Elsener becomes COO of 3+

33-year-old Roger Elsener will take up the position of Chief Operating Officer at 3+ on April 1, 2012. With this newly created position, the Swiss private broadcaster is further expanding its management team and staff.

Roger Elsener has ten years of professional experience as a business manager and key account manager, as detailed in a press release issued on Tuesday. He has worked in the telecommunications, advertising, consumer goods and television sectors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Elsener is currently still employed as Vice President Commerce at the children's channel Nickelodeon. Based in Berlin, he is responsible for the commercial interests of the Nickelodeon broadcasting group throughout Northern Europe, including Germany and Switzerland. Prior to this, Elsener was Managing Director of the Viacom International Media Networks broadcasting group (MTV, Viva, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central), where he was responsible for a 30-strong team in Switzerland. In this role, he successfully launched the Swiss offshoots of MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central.
